Where I’ll Be: Compliance Week Annual Conference Starts June 3
For the third year in a row, I’ll be covering the Compliance Week Annual Conference held at the Mayflower Hotel June 3-5, 2009, Washington DC. To see what kind of trouble I can stir up, just look at my coverage last year.
This year promises to be just as stimulating. The conference will feature global regulators, standard setters, enforcement officials, and, of course, chief compliance officers, all in an intimate setting with small-group “Conversations” dominating the agenda.
I’m also looking forward to spending some time with Brandon Dunlap, Managing Director of Brightfly, an IT and information security research company. Brightfly is a vendor independent research and advisory services firm, and is looking for participants for an upcoming research project. This project is designed to better understand how organizations identify and manage risks and is open to all conference participants, regardless of industry or organization size. The results of the research will be published later this year, and all participants will receive advance copies of the report well before the general public. This is an opportunity for your voice to be heard, but don’t worry, all responses are confidential and will there will no attribution to the individuals or the organizations they represent.
If you have time while you are attending the conference, please participate in a quick 30 minute interview. Please send an email message to: bsdunlap@brightfly.com for an interview slot June 3, 4, 5 at the Mayflower with Managing Director of Research, Brandon Dunlap, and Research Director Ju-Lie McReynolds, to ensure that your voice is heard.
I love those shoes!!
And [back to the audit-mode], it’ll be interesting to see what kind of discussions you encounter at Compliance week.
