My posts about the recruiting and salary practices of the Big 4 have touched a nerve, in particular with current accounting students and recent hires. I’ve found the young professionals much more apt to feel strongly about the issues and to comment. Apathy and resignation to your fate settle in when you hit your mid 30’s or so and have a family and a mortgage(s).
Heard a good quote over the weekend…
“Questionable actions are usually taken because someone has to pay a mortgage.”
There have been some great comments on my post about marketing to students by the Big 4. The most recent comment for this post pretty much sums up my feelings exactly!
