KPMG Says, "Everything’s Peachy!"

Maybe it’s just me… My bleeding heart is heavy every morning listening to NPR on the way to work. Stories of Darfur and Rwanda, more soldiers coming home in a box from Iraq, Mexican immigrants dying trying to cross the border to pluck chickens in Springdale, abused children, lead in baby bibs, tainted products from China killing pets

But KPMG has done surveys and they say business people think everything is going to be even better next year than it’s been this year. Why is a firm that is one of four members of a unique oligopoly, exclusively serving almost all the public companies on all the major global exchanges, and a firm, in KPMG’s case, that has been given a second life and has bigger things to worry about, making a PR play as a “business advisor” and business community booster, rather than focusing on their role and responsibility as a guardian of the public trust?

Curiously, I can’t find these surveys and the detailed questions and answers easily on their website. Looks like they’re just a ploy to get space on Google Alerts. And it worked. I’m getting a new alert every 15 minutes with more happy news…
